294 It became quite a game with my friends to place a tasty titbit in the center of the table, well out of reach of the little dog. The family would then pretend complete indifference to the action of the animal, who would circle the table, sampling the air. When he was assured his nose was not deceiving him, he would trot off to find the cat. Upon locating her sleeping curled up in a chair, he would nudge her awake and silently obviously converse with her. She would rise, stretch, and stalk across the room. One nimble leap would carry her to the center of the table, where she would pick up the morsel in her mouth and drop it to the waiting dog. Her task performed, the cat would resume her interrupted nap, while the dog chewed contentedly on the stolen food. This was no coincidence, for it so delighted the owners that they had the animals repeat it frequently for interested friends. In this case the dog and cat, different species of the animal kingdom, were merely using the universal language which is natural to all forms of manifestation.
294 私の友人達にとって、その小型犬が届かないテーブルの中央に、一口大のうまい食べ物を置くことは、楽しい遊びになりました。家族達はその犬の行動には全くの無関心を装うこととし、犬はテーブルの周囲を回って空気を嗅ぎます。自分の鼻が偽っていないことを確認するや、犬は猫を見つけようと小走りになります。椅子の上で丸まって寝ている猫を見つけるや、犬は猫を軽く突いて起こし、無言のまま、明らかに猫と会話します。猫は起き上がり、伸びをしてゆっくり大またで部屋を横切ります。敏しょうな一飛びで猫はテーブルの中央に乗り、そこで食べ物の一片をくわえて、下で待つ犬にそれを落としてやります。猫は任務を果たした後、邪魔されたうたた寝を再開し、犬は奪った食べ物を満足気に噛みしめていました。これは偶然の一致などではなく、飼い主は大変喜び、興味を持った友人達の為、その動物達に度々繰返えしやらせました。この場合、動物界の異なる種である犬と猫は創造の全ての形有るものにとって自然である宇宙普遍の言語を用いているに過ぎなかったのです。
【解説】
猫が犬の願いに応じて犬の欲しがるものをテーブルから落として犬にやるのは、双方が互いに気持ちを理解し合っている証拠です。種が異なっても互いに意思を分かり合えるのは、音声でなく想念レベルでの意思疎通が出来るからに他なりません。動物達がかくも日常的に想念レベルのコミュニケーションを実践しているという訳です。
よく言われることに、カマキリはその年の積雪を見込んだ高さに卵を産み付けるとされていることがあります。秋の段階で来るべき冬の光景を予見するのかも知れません。自分の子孫を守る為に親は安全な場所を探るということでしょう。
そういう意味では、私達人間は更に高い能力を本来、有している筈です。昨今の大雨や来るとされている大地震等への備えとしても、各自の予見能力を高め、現象が起きる前の想念段階をキャッチし、各自の生活に活かすことが必要となる時代を迎えています。
