367 You as an individual are a unit of many experiences, even in this life. As an individual you have gone through billions of chemical changes with each absorbing the previous one. So the cosmic identity of you, the individual, has been constant with no divisions. Each succeeding stage of your life was the embodiment of previous stages from the time of your birth to the present day. Every pulse of your being from the day of your conception on into a form have been recorded in the Cosmic Records. No pulse or act was left out. Your form may have a record of from 20 to 90 years in your present earthly life, but in eternity it is less than a thousandth part of a second. Yet you figure the seconds in the earthly time of age and every second some form of newness has taken place. And every second absorbing the previous second by the individual that brought you to this stage of life. But the sense mind docs not figure this way. But when it does become one with the consciousness it will be able to review all of the changes that have taken place during its years of life. Yet not for one moment did the individual lose his identity. But the sense mind or personality has been lost many times through its lack of awareness of what it is. The personality changes many times during a life time even to the degree that pictures taken at different ages show very little resemblance to the way one looks now. While the individual consciousness remains the same.
367 一個人としての貴方は、この生涯にあっても多くの経験からなる一単位です。一個人としては貴方は各々がそれ以前のものを吸収し、何十億回もの化学変化を遂げています。ですから、貴方の宇宙的正体には分断はありません。貴方の生涯の各々の継続するステージは貴方の誕生から今日に至るまで以前のステージの具体化であったのです。貴方が形有るものとなった受胎の日から一つ一つの鼓動は全て宇宙の記録の中に記載されています。いかなる鼓動或いは行為も漏れることはありません。貴方の形は現在の地球上の生涯の中で２０から９０年の記録を持っているでしょうが、永遠の中にあっては１秒の１０００分の１よりも短いものです。それでも貴方は地球上の時間である秒数を数えており、その秒毎に何らかの新しいことが起っています。また秒毎にそれ以前の秒間がその個人により吸収され、貴方を今日のステージにもたらすのです。しかし、感覚心はこのようには描きません。それでも感覚心が意識と一つになる時、それは生涯の間に起ったすべての変化を読み返すことが出来るようになります。それでも一瞬たりとも個人が自分の正体を見失うことはありません。自分が何であるかの知覚が不足している為に、感覚心、或いは人格（訳注：パーソナリティ）は何度も失われるのです。異なる年代で撮られた写真が、今見るのと少しも似ていないように見えるほど、生涯の間には何度となく変化します。一方、個人の意識は同じまま留まります。
【解説】
私達自身、毎秒発する想念や行動によって時々刻々変化しています。そしてこれらすべての体験は宇宙に記憶され、また私達自身を造り上げているという訳です。
人の一生の間で蓄えられた体験はその人を造り上げる訳で、人は生涯を通じて変容を遂げることになります。自分の古い写真を見て、つくづく余裕の無い未熟さを感じますが、それも自分がこれまで歩んで来た中で得たものが外観の変化として現れているということでしょう。
さらに重要なのは、これらは宇宙の上からは僅か１秒の何分の１かの時間に過ぎないことであり、私達はまさに宇宙の時計からすれば一瞬の中に生きているということです。もし私達が宇宙と融合出来ればこれら時間の制約は無くなり、文字通り永遠の生命を生き抜くことが出来ると著者は説いているのです。
