264 While we have used two individuals in close association with each other, this can take place where many are represented by one when using the same pattern. This shows that the consciousness whom we call God, is the all inclusive. And as two people are able to become as one through association and even resemble each other, just so, an individual can become one with, and resemble God, when he thinks in terms of God instead of the ego. Yet he retains his individuality, the difference is that his sense mind has blended with conscious consciousness that we call God. The sense mind is able to perform its normal duty as it did in the past but it is aware of the consciousness that gives it power and intelligence to act wisely in the world of effects. The mind will then feel as Jesus felt when He said, I of Myself do nothing, but the Father that worketh through Me does all of the work. This is cosmic consciousness.
264 私達は互いに親密な二人を例にしていましたが、このことは多人数が同じパターンを使用する場合についても一人に代表されるところに起り得ます。これは私達が神と呼ぶ意識は全てを包含することを意味しています。そして二人の人間が交際を通じて一体となり、互いに似て来るまでになるように、丁度そのように各自も自我への代わりに神について考えていれば神と一体になり、神に似て来るのです。しかしそれでもなお、自分の個性を保持しており、違いは自分の感覚心が私達が神と呼ぶ意識的な意識と融合しているということです。感覚心はこれまで同様、通常の任務を実行できますが、その者に結果の世界で賢く行動する為のパワーと知性を与える意識について気付いています。心はその後イエスがこう言った時のように感じることでしょう。私自身は何も成していない、父が私を通じて全ての仕事を成したもうのだ。これが意識的な意識です。
